I currently reside in a mountainous, jungle town- No car, no bike, not even the skills required to use actual forms of transportation, therefore, I am forced to get off my ass and walk anywhere I feel like going. Unlike "back home" where the act of -doing- was always an effortless venture, here you have to: plan, create a mental rally, and set out to conquer.
Because of Hollywood and her well produced, aesthetically stimulating movies; I have always been attracted to the idea of having music playing behind everything I do...So, ta-da!!! That is what I do now! While my brilliant lover slaves away to academia (medical school style) I create playlists for my wonderfully blessed, charming Island Slicker life.
Here are some artists from my -first semester- playlist:
Sade - for my sexual, strong minded, womanly side
Taylor Swift- keeping the emotional & optimistic teen alive
Deer Tick- stirs up my worldly curiosities and livens my creativity
Band of Horses - gives me a sense of confident independence and sparks the adventurer inside me
Glad your doing this !

I have always thought life would be so amazing if music was playing in the background. can you imagine really sad intense situations, though? yikes.
ReplyDeleteWell... yes! But- think about all the times that sad things happen and we can't "feel" and we don't cry because life keeps going on regardless! So if there were to be a sad song behind it, we would be able to cry and deal with it at that time instead of holding it in. right?
